An international conference on street children will begin in a local hotel today. The two-day moot would be organised under the auspices of the Azad Foundation, an NGO, working for the welfare of the street children.
The theme of the conference would be social and psychological rehabilitation of the street children. Sindh Minister for Social Welfare, Ms. Nargis N.D. Khan, will be the chief guest at the inaugural session. According to the organisers, there will be more than 100 participants from Karachi as well as other parts of the country including the representatives of NGOs and students of universities. They said that a panel discussion would also be organised on the concluding day of the moot.
