Punjab Minister for Education, Transport and Excise & Taxation, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that 350 million dollars will be provided by the World Bank (WB) for enhancing the education sector expenditure, enhanced fiduciary environment, quality education, access to education, equity & school management, governance and monitoring in Punjab.
Talking to delegations, he elaborated that through the agreement, improving standard of education, training teachers, capacity building, equity, equality to bring low literacy areas at par with educationally developed areas, improving text books, providing stipends and free text books to students, up grading schools and financial management would be achieved.
Punjab Government is equally encouraging private sector educational institutions by enhancing public private partnership to achieve targets in education sector reforms, he concluded.
