The Karachi Port handled 209,726 tonnes of cargo including 153,490 tonnes import and 56,236 tonnes export cargo including 4,075 empty and loaded containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 185,373 tonnes dry cargo including 109,969 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 22,367 tonnes fertiliser; 37,600 tonnes coal; 5,818 tonnes rock phosphate; 8,408 tonnes cement and 24,353 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Fourteen ships namely TS Korea, YM America, CAP George, Hansa Liberty, Bunga Raya Empat, Providence, MT Johar, CEC Cristobal, Bow Sea, Maistros, New Glory, Lucky-7, Al-Marwah and Attar sailed out to sea during the report period. Ten vessels viz Bulk Arrow, Hansa Liberty, Samin-1, Olympia, Bunga Raya Empat, Gulf Riyad, Seagull-5, Lucky-7, Al-Marwah and Marika are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Seagull-5, Samin-1 and Al-Marwah expected to sail on Monday, while another two vessels Beluga Nomination and Drake are expected to sail on Tuesday. Four vessels viz Antigoni, Dandle, APL Dalian and Lucky Arrow due to arrive on Monday, while another four ships namely APL Japan, Cape Sable, Fountain and Dalia Roja are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 77,688 tonnes comprising 65,993 tonnes import and 11,695 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 713 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 32,827 tonnes furnace oil; 9,300 tonnes palm oil; 3,456 tonnes project cargo; 12,940 tonnes phosphoric acid; 9,115 tonnes cement and 10,050 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely MT Marika, MT OSM Can Opus and CV CSAV Moema sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of eleven vessels viz Maersk Iowa, UASC Doha, Nostos, Momphis, Iron Monger-5, Indradi, Yeneg Cheng, Tekeze, Master Trade, Super Star-II and Aqua Carle scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, chemicals, rice and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight ships namely CV CSAV Moema, MV Leopard-B, MV Wales-II, MV Sea Belle, MV Bulga Function, MT Chemroad Rose, MT Argent Daisy and MT Sea Lion are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, phosphoric acid, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. Two ships namely CV Maersk Iowa and CV UASC Doha are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Monday. Container vessel Nedlloyed Europa due to arrive on Tuesday, while another two vessels viz CV CMA CGM Onyx and CV ACX Jasmine are due to arrive on Wednesday. Three container ships namely Hanjin Kingston, CMA CGM Puget and Maersk Novazzano carrying containers are also expected to arrive.
