The Karachi Port handled 49,380 tonnes of cargo including 35,271 tonnes import and 14,109 tonnes export cargo including 3,520 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 48,934 tonnes dry cargo including 18,096 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 12,474 tonnes Fertilizer; 5,500 tonnes coal; 50 tonnes rock phosphate; 12,814 tonnes cement and 446 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Royal Diamond, Fatima-1, Dandle, Antigoni and Hermes Arrow sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz APL Japan, LTC Calvin P. Titus, Lucky Arrow, Dalia Roja and Fountain -5 are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Clipper Triumph, APL Japan and Dalia Roja expected to sail on Wednesday, while another three vessels LTC Calvin P. Titus, MSC Sena and Mary-F are expected to sail on Thursday.
Two vessels viz Cape Sable and YM Asia due to arrive on Wednesday, while another four ships namely Cosco Osaka, Sima Sahba, Hyundai Emperor and King Spirit are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 71,622 tonnes comprising 38,304 tonnes import and 33,318 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3,137 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 12,479 tonnes diesel oil; 5,000 tonnes palm oil; 1,100 tonnes chemicals; 1,833 tonnes rice; 9,621 tonnes cement and 41,589 tonnes containerised cargo. Five ships namely CV Nedlloyed Europa, MT Argent Daisy, MT Sea Lion and MV Sea Belle sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship CV Al-Manakh is expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of eight vessels viz ACX Jasmine, Nostos, Memphis, Iron Monger-5, Lucky SW, Tekeze, Master Trade and Super Star-II scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, sugar and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. Seven ships namely CV Nedlloyed Europa, CV Al-Manakh, MV Aqua Grace, MV Wales-II, MV Yeng Cheng, MT Prita Dewi and MT Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Two container ships namely CV ACX Jasmine and CV CMA CGM Onyx are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Wednesday. Two vessels viz MV Maria and MT New Toyokaze with project cargo and palm oil are due to arrive on Wednesday, while another two vessels viz Hanjin Kingston and CMA CGM Puget with containers are due to arrive on Thursday. Three container ships namely MSC Alpana, Maersk Novazzano and Romanos with containers and rape seeds are also expected to arrive.
