Argentine soya's closing prices and trends on Thursday. In the main grains market of Rosario, prices fell 18 pesos to end at 942 pesos ($245) per tonne following limited interest by local buyers who refused to follow high prices set by producers, traders said. Rosario's grain market closed flat the last five consecutive sessions.
Trade volume was low at a rate ranging between 1,000 and 2,000 tonnes. US soya futures on the influential Chicago Board of Trade, or CBOT, fell due to a drop in crude oil market amid thin volume and expectations for a large crop. In Argentina, Rosario soya for delivery in May 2010, which is quoted in US dollars, fell between $1 to end at $207 per tonne. In the port of Quequen soyabeans fell 16.7 pesos to end at 932 pesos. In the port of Bahia Blanca soyabeans fell 18 pesos to en at 942 pesos per tonne.
