Chief, Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain here, on Sunday, sternly criticised the Kerry-Lugar bill and termed it against the interests of nation and country.
Talking to journalists, here after offering condolence on the demise of Sujawal Taluka Nazim Akram Shah Shirazi with ex-provincial minister Syed Aijaz Ali Shah and others at the Shirazi House, he termed Kerry-Lugar bill as a 'Carry-Looter bill', adding it is a permission to loot and carry. He said that the present government had miserably failed at every front and the rulers could not meet any of their promises.
PML-Q Secretary General Senator, Syed Mushahid Hussain, on the occasion, said that the judges were resorted due to internal and external pressure. He said it seemed difficult the present rulers would end load shedding by coming December. He said that the promises of rulers on Balochistan package, ending 17th amendment, and strengthening democracy would also hardly be fulfilled.
He said that the present rulers have made the mess of local government system, which is another atrocity to the people. He said that the project of Rental Power Plants (RPP) is a new bid to make money through commission and kickbacks. He also opposed the proposed scheme of setting up a new town, named Zulfiqarabad, near Thatta. He said it would be wastage of taxpayers' money and people would not get any benefit. He suggested, instead of making new cities, the present government should focus on improving the conditions of existing cities and towns.
Mushahid Hussain Syed said that the credit of NFC Award goes to the last government of PML-Q, as they had formed a committee in this regard, so that the award could be announced on the basis of income generation and backwardness. He said that the present regime is powerless in relation to tackle mafias of sugar, cement and wheat flour. He said finance minister Shaukat Tarin had already confessed in this regard. Senator Seemi Siddiqui, Bostan Ali Hoti, Aleem Adil Shaikh and others were also present.
