The Karachi Port handled 103,696 tonnes of cargo including 78,568 tonnes import and 25,128 tonnes export cargo including 5,693 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 79,445 tonnes dry cargo including 55,628 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 7,631 tonnes DAP; 1,783 tonnes oil cake; 1,480 tonnes rock phosphate; 7,379 tonnes cement, 5,544 tonnes rapeseed and 24,251 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Nine ships namely Blossom, YM Asia, MT Swat, Bunga Raya Empat, Hungu Spirit, Queen Arrow-I, OXL Lotus, APL Sharjah and Qatari Ibn Al-Fujaa sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Qatari Ibn Al-Fujaa, Najadi, Bunga Raya Dua, Quetta, APL Pusan and Alaxander are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Daffodil, Alaxander, Patriot, Gulf Riyad, Najadi and APL Pusan expected to sail on Tuesday, while another vessel Quetta is expected to sail on Wednesday. Five vessels viz Bahuna Wati, Arnis, Wan Hai-510, Sama Sahba and Hyundai Duke are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 75,626 tonnes comprising 54,996 tonnes import and 20,630 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,209 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 19,651 tonnes furnace oil; 5,200 tonnes palm oil; 743 tonnes sulphur; 4,352 tonnes sugar; 5,055 tonnes chemicals; 5,010 tonnes iron ore; 6,110 tonnes cement and 29,505 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely MV Yeng Cheng, MV Balssom and MT New Toyokaze sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely CV Maersk Corolina is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of seven vessels viz Oriental Rubi, Al-Soor-II, Sea Sky, Mire, Nedlloyed Africa, Trakia and Sem Jong scheduled to load/offload diesel oil, furnace oil, containers and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine ships namely CV Maersk Corolina, MV Super Star-III, MV Tekeze, MV Luxury, MV Alaska, MV Balossom, MT New Toyokaze, MT Memphis and MV Paula are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, sulphur, chemicals, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Container ship namely Nedlloyed Africa is expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Tuesday. Two vessels viz MV Bright Star and MT SC Guang Zhou are due to arrive on Tuesday, while four vessels viz CV Ville D'Orion, CV ACX Jasmine, MT Semua Per Dana and MV Jag-1 with containers, palm oil and sugar are due to arrive on Wednesday. Five ships namely ACX Rafflesia, Lahore Express, Asir, Maersk Novazzano and Ana Lips Lady are also expected to arrive.
