The Chief Justice, Lahore High Court (LHC), here, on Wednesday, disposed of a suo motu case taken in relation to humiliate the women publicly over the alleged charge of running brothel house and directed Inspector General of Punjab Police to transfer the investigation of the case Lahore and appoint some police officers not less than the rank of SP.
Chief Justice had taken suo motu case against torture and humiliation of the women by a charged crowd in village Jambar Kalan, Kasur. Earlier, one of the women had contended before the court that the SP (investigation), Kasur, was neither holding investigation properly nor allowing them to join it.
She, therefore, requested the court to shift the investigation to Lahore, while justifying the investigation, the law officer said that the police officer is holding the investigation in a proper manner and no need to shift the investigation to any other city.
The Chie Justice, however, disposed of the suo motu proceedings with the directions to shift the investigation to Lahore. DPO Kasur had told the court that the police had registered two cases one against the women for their involvement in immoral activities and second against dozens of people who tortured the ladies.

According to a news item published on September 28, a mob raided on an alleged brothel and set the households on fire. Later, the charged crowd also painted faces of three women black, cut their hair and forced them to paraade semi-naked in the village The women were identified as Shahnaz alias Shoza, Azra and Shahnaz Bibi.
