The Karachi Port handled 109,704 tonnes of cargo including 93,714 tonnes import and 15,990 tonnes export cargo including 2,296 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 70,249 tonnes dry cargo including 28,706 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 5,174 tonnes DAP; 1,059 tonnes oil cake; 17,500 tonnes coal; 9,855 tonnes cement, 5,468 tonnes rapeseed and 39,455 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Three ships namely Uni Promote, Quetta and Eaststar sailed out to sea during the report period. Four vessels viz Wan Hai-510, Sama Sahba, Bright Star and Stena Compass are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Sama Sahba and Pacific Arrow expected to sail on Thursday, while another two vessels viz Stena Compass and green Line expected to sail on Friday. Two vessels viz Hyundai Duke and Samin-1 due to arrive on Thursday, while another three ships namely King Douglas, LTC Calvin P. Titus and Heike P are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 83,820 tonnes comprising 66,530 tonnes import and 17,290 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,783 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 34,174 tonnes diesel oil; 2,763 tonnes furnace oil; 9,448 tonnes palm oil; 3,734 tonnes sulphur; 3,197 tonnes sugar; 1,829 tonnes iron ore; 5,002 tonnes cement and 23,673 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MT Memphis, CV Ville D'Orion, CV ACX Rafflesia and Paula-1 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another two ships namely MT Semua Per Dana and MT Oriental Ruby are expected to sail on Thursday. A total of eight vessels viz Lahore Express, Al-Soor-II, Sea Sky, Mire, SC Guang Hou, Empire Metapahit, Trakia and Sem Jong scheduled to load/offload containers, diesel oil, furnace oil, palm oil, chemicals and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine ships namely CV Ville D'Orion, CV ACX Rafflesia, MV Super Star-III, MV Tekeze, MV Luxury, MV Alaska, MT Semua Per Dana, MT Oriental Ruby and MV Paula-I are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, sulphur, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely CV Lahore Express, CV Asir, MT Al-Soor-II, MT SC Guang Hou and MT Empire Metapahit carrying containers, palm oil, diesel oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday. MV Jag-1 carrying sugar due to arrive on Thursday, while another six vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV MSC Oslo, MT Analips Lady MT Al-Salam-II, MT SC Ningbo and MT Sichem Defender with containers, diesel oil, palm oil and phosphoric acid are due to arrive on Friday. Two ships namely Hong Son Sky and Bright Star are also expected to arrive.
