Federal government responsible for price hike: Mir

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (Traders Wing) Punjab General Secretary and President Mall Road Traders Association Mohammad Naeem Mir has held the federal government responsible for price hike in the country. He said that if people came on streets and protested against dearness, the corridors of power would tremble. Therefore, price hike needed to be controlled.
"We should enhance trade with other world instead of getting aid from different countries. Increase in power tariff would badly hit the industries so the government should withdraw 6% increase in electricity tariff, otherwise its wrong decisions would collapse the national economy." As a result of price hike there would be decrease in purchasing power, which would hamper business activities.
