The offshore investors' interest continued in stock market and they invested $32.587 million in foreign portfolio during the week ended on October 9, 2009. "The offshore investors' interest continued at the local share market due to available attractive levels and improving economical and political situation in the country", one analyst said.
A sum $128.340 million came into the country in the preceding month. The week started on a positive note and an inflow of $1,506,194 of this mode of investment was recorded on Monday. This trend continued as another $4,645,098 came in country on Tuesday. As many as $7,375,013 came in the country on Wednesday while a massive inflow of $13,381,745 was recorded on Thursday. This trend continued till the last session as the offshore investors remained net buyers of share worth $5,679,712 on Friday.
