The Karachi Port handled 112,700 tonnes of cargo including 96,657 tonnes import and 16,043 tonnes export cargo including 3,449 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 51,877 tonnes dry cargo including 35,743 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 5,634 tonnes DAP; 4,302 tonnes cement, 4,756 tonnes rapeseed and 60,823 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Asian Queen, Ocean Host, Arnis, Green Line and Hyundai Duke Compass sailed out to sea during the report period. Three vessels viz Team Al-Emirates, CSL Stefanie and Heike-P are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Samin-1, Analipsi Lady, Masar Trade, Heike-P, Romanos and CSL Stefanie are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Andre Jacob, Hanjin Ningbo and Bolan due to arrive on Saturday, while another two ships namely Thomas Mann and Hansa Rostock are due to arrive on Sunday. Nine ships namely Chemroad Wing, Bunga Raya Lima, Cape Sable, Al-Wajba, APL Brisbane, Dorian, Gulf Seas, Arion S B and Bulk Arrow are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 77,663 tonnes comprising 72,491 tonnes import and 5,172 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 900 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 31,922 tonnes diesel oil; 10,650 tonnes palm oil; 3,420 tonnes sulphur; 549 tonnes sugar; 1,800 tonnes chemicals; 10,650 tonnes phosphoric acid; 5,172 tonnes cement and 13,500 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships, container ship Asir, chemicals carrier Empire Mejapahit and edible oil vessel SC Guang Hou sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships, container ship Maersk Novazzano, general cargo carrier Tekeze and oil tanker Al-Soor-II are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
A total of seven vessels viz Clipper Yiking, Sea Sky, Mire, Al-Salam-II, SC Ningbo, Trakia and Sem Jong scheduled to load/offload chemicals, furnace oil, diesel oil, palm oil and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Super Star-III, MV Tekeze, MV Jag-1, MV Alaska-II, MT Sichem Defender, MT SC Guang Hou and MT Al-Soor-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, sulphur, phosphoric acid, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely MV Sem Jong, MV Sea Sky and MT SC Ningbo scheduled to load/offload cement, palm oil and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Multi Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Saturday.
MV Hong Son Sky with cement is due to arrive on Saturday, while two more container vessels viz Donau Trader and Imri are due to arrive on Sunday. Five ships namely MSC Oslo, Maersk Georgia, Nedlloyed Honshu, Bright Star and Julym with containers, cement/rice and rape seeds are also expected to arrive.
