Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility of the terrorist attack on General Headquarters of Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi. According to official sources, the TTP has taken the responsibility of the terrorist attack on GHQ and warned of more attacks if military operation against Taliban was not stopped.
TTP demanded an end to operation in Waziristan, Swat and other Tribal Areas of NWFP, the trial of former president Pervez Musharraf, return of highly controversial US force Blackwater and an immediate closure of Western NGOs' operations in Pakistan. Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Athar Abbas confirmed that the TTP has claimed the responsibility of the terrorist attack.
