Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday telephoned Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and leaders of various political parties to take them into confidence about the government stance on Kerry-Lugar Bill.
The Prime Minister made calls to PML-F chief Pir Pagara, PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat, PML-Q leader Pervaiz Elahi, JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman, President ANP Asfandyar Wali Khan, PTI chief Imran Khan, MQM chief Altaf Hussain, MQM leader Farooq Sattar, MNA from Fata Munir Orakzai, Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami Munawwar Hassan and President of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mehmood Khan Achakzai. The Prime Minister called these leaders as part of efforts to bring political harmony among top leadership of the country.
