Future open interest up by 83 percent to Rs 670 million

The open interest at future counter increased by 83 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 670 million. The future spreads stood at -1.62 percent amid rise in the regular market. Meanwhile, activity at the future counter soared significantly by 53 percent as volumes stood at 1.93 million shares as against previous week's 1.26 million shares.
The top 5 scrips at the counter included OGDC, PSO, MCB, POL and PPL, which cumulatively contributed 27 percent of the total open interest.
