Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Tariq Majid called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Prime Minister's House and briefed him on matters of national security. They discussed various aspects of Kerry-Lugar Bill and decided that final national response to the bill will be given at the conclusion of debate in Parliament.
Prime Minister Gilani praised the role of army in operation against militants in Swat, Tribal areas as well as Saturday's successful operation in the GHQ, Rawalpindi. Prime Minister Gilani said that people and the government of Pakistan are proud of the professionalism of the Pak-army and stand behind. General Tariq Majid also briefed the Prime Minister about his recent visits to Vietnam , Brunei and Azerbaijan .
