Federal Minister for Population Welfare, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Sunday paid rich tributes to the brave Pakistan Army personnel, who laid their lives to thwart the terrorist attack on General Headquarters (GHQ). Talking to APP here, the minister lauded security forces for their commitment in successfully rescuing the hostages, and eliminating the terrorists from GHQ.
Rescue operation was a demonstration of armed forces high morale, professionalism and capability to handle and overcome any difficult situation, noted the minister. She affirmed the government was determined to eliminate terrorists and extremists from the homeland. Whole nation stands united behind the armed forces and supports their every step to secure motherland, so the terrorists would never succeed in their intentions, she added.
Similarly, Federal Minister for Education, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani also congratulated the armed forces for successful operation to rescue hostages from the terrorists. Pakistan Army commandos have once again proved their tenacity, bravery and professionalism during combat operation, the minister, who is on visit abroad, said in a message received here.
