The chief of PML-Q, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has appointed 25 new office bearers, including 14 senior vice presidents, it is revealed through a press release issued here, on Saturday.
As per notification of appointments those who have been appointed as senior vice presidents are Mir Naseer Mengal, Faisal Saleh Hayat, Amanullah Jadoon, Akram Zaki, Senator Nilofar Bakhtyar, Azad bin Haider, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Ghulam Mohammad Maneka, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Muhammad Yar Hiraj, Agha Said Ali Shah, Shahabuddin and Tariq Bashir Cheema. Razina Alam Khan, Ajmal Wazir and Raja Mohammad Nasir have been appointed as vice presidents.
While, Dr Mohammad Amjad, Mian Yahya Shah Kakahel, Syed Ayaz Shah Sherazi, Tariq Hassan, and Haji Naseebullah Achakzai have been nominated as additional secretary generals.
Two more individuals have been appointed as additional information secretaries, Peshawar based Moazzam Butt and Nosheen Saeed. Alim Adil Sheikh has been nominated as Chairman, Planning, Implementation and Co-ordination Committee.
No political bigwig like Leghari, Mazari or Dareshak Sardar has been accommodated despite the fact that former president Sardar Farooq Leghari and both his sons, Jamal Khan Leghari and Awais Khan Leghari, had sided with the Chaudhry brethren in the recent battle for the party crown, which resulted in the forming of the PML-Q (like-minded group) led by Senator Salim Saifullah Khan and Hamid Nasir Chattha. The Chaudhry brothers have blatantly ignored their allies from the Saraiki areas and only two individuals have been nominated from Southern Punjab.
