PML-Q demands resignation of Qureshi and Haqqani

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) has demanded of the government to sack Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood and Pakistan's Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani due to their failure in creating a strong lobby to make the Kerry-Lugar Bill Pakistan-friendly. Riaz Hussain Pirzada of PML-Q made this demand on the floor of the National Assembly saying that the bill was a trap for the nation.
"If we accept this bill, Pakistan will become American Colony. It is failure of our foreign policy and I demand of the government to dismiss the Foreign Minister and Pakistan's Ambassador to the US," he said. He said it was responsible opposition and we did not want to fail the government in any test. The government should show responsibility to protect the interests of the country, he added.
