The Karachi Port handled 143,797 tonnes of cargo including 80,873 tonnes import and 62,942 tonnes export cargo including 4,158 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 80,534 tonnes dry cargo including 65,352 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 15,182 tonnes bulk cargo and 63,263 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Thomas Mann, Hansa Rostock, Bunga Raya Lima, MT Johar and Nena C sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels viz Bunga Raya Lima, Al-Wajba, LTC Calvin P. Titus, Blue Sea, Arion SB, Chemroad Wing and SC Guanzhou are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely LTC Calvin P. Titus, Chemroad Wing and APL Brisbane expected to sail on Tuesday, while another vessel viz SC Guanzhou is expected to sail on Wednesday. Two vessels viz Sima Sahba and Kota Handal due to arrive on Tuesday, while another seven ships namely Chem Bridge, MT Swat, W O Noroc, TS Qingdao, Hyundai Commodore, Wan Hai-501 and Bulk Arrow are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 70,069 tonnes comprising 41,865 tonnes import and 28,204 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,877 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 17,672 tonnes furnace oil; 1,600 tonnes palm oil; 2,563 tonnes sulphur; 4,264 tonnes sugar; 2,500 tonnes chemicals; 4,288 tonnes cement and 37,182 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely MT SC Ningbo, CV MSC Alpana and CV Maersk Georgia sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of six vessels viz Nedlloyed Honshu, Brave Heart, Al-Salam-II, Win Canton, Hiba Al-Noor-B and Co Stanza scheduled to load/offload containers, crude oil, diesel oil, chemicals and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine ships namely CV Maersk Georgia, CV Donau Trader, MV Trakia, MV Sem Jong, MV Jag-1, MV Alaska-II, MT Clipper Yiking, MT SC Ningbo and MT Mire are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, sulphur, ethylene, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Two ships, container vessel Nedlloyed Honshu and chemicals carrier Win Canton are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Two vessels viz CMA CGM Coral and ACX Crystal are due to arrive on Wednesday, while two more container vessels viz Dubai Express and UASC Shuwaikh are due to arrive on Thursday. Three ships namely Hong Son Sky, Bright Star and Julym with cement/rice and rape seeds are also expected to arrive.
