A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad would meet President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad here on Wednesday (today) to discuss important issues related to the two coalition partners. Sources said that President has invited MQM delegation to Islamabad to hold a meeting in a bid to address its reservations on certain issues.
The delegation would comprise Dr Farooq Sattar, Babar Khan Ghauri, Shaoib Bukhari and others. The meeting is likely to discuss the future of Local Governments system, development projects in Sindh, and appointment in government departments.
It is also learnt that the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah would also attend the meeting. MQM Information Secretary MNA Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi confirmed the meeting and expressed the hope it would help address certain issues. President's spokesman Farhatullah Babar could not be approached for comments about the meeting despite repeated attempts.
