The Karachi Port handled 113,391 tonnes of cargo including 64,566 tonnes import and 48,825 tonnes export cargo including 4,017 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 95,513 tonnes dry cargo including 67,273 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 21,000 tonnes coal; 7,240 tonnes cement and 17,878 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Al-Wajba, New Advance, APL Brisbane, King Douglas, Chemroad Wing, LTC Calvin P. Titus and MSC Roberta sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz APL Brisbane, MSC Roberta, Dorian, Al-Kuwaitiah, Sima Sahba and Andre Jacob are currently at the berths. One ship namely Kota Handal expected to sail on Wednesday, while another four vessels viz Al-Kuwaitiah, Team Al-Emirates, Blue Sea and Sea Diamond are expected to sail on Thursday.
Five vessels viz Chem Bridge, TS Qingdao, Hyundai Commodore, Wan Hai-501 and Bulk Arrow due to arrive on Wednesday, while another six ships namely D L Aster, Spirit, Al-Marwah, Ocean Island, Sattar and Chitral are due to arrive on Thursday.
TWO SHIPS: chemicals carrier MT Clipper Yiking and container vessel CV Nedlloyed Honshu sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely MT Win Canton and MT Mire are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of seven vessels viz ACX Crystal, Genie, Brave Heart, Sichem Melbouren, Meta, Hiba Al-Noor-B and Co Stanza scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, crude oil, chemicals, rice and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven ships namely Nedlloyed Honshu, MV Trakia, MV Sem Jong, MV Jag-1, MV Alaska-II, MT Win Canton and MT Mire are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, sulphur, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships CV ACX Crystal CV CMA CGM Coral and MT Sichem Melbourne carrying containers and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Three vessels viz MV Meta, CV Dubai Express and CV UASC Shuwaikh are due to arrive on Thursday, while two more container ships namely Maersk Novazzano and MSC Sarawak are due to arrive on Friday. Three ships namely Hong Son Sky, Bright Star and Julym with cement/rice and rape seeds are also expected to arrive.
