All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Punjab Teachers Union (PTU), Punjab SES Teachers Association, Punjab Lecturers and Professional Association (PLPA), Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Government Employees Welfare Association (GEWA) have widely hailed the announcement of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to regularise the service of all contractual employees working in various departments of the government describing it an historical decision.
They also organised big rally in Multan to gratitude the chief minister chanted slogans in favour of PML-N and Mian brothers. They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of the Punjab government. They said that our more than 1, 500,000 people, in which majority are teachers, would benefit from the decision. "The employees, who have been made regular, will avail all those privileges including pension and group insurance, benevolent fund and loans as are admissible to the regular employees of the government," they said.
