A delegation of the Wives of Indonesian Embassy Staff (Dharma Wanita) visited the Siratul Jannah Trust in Murree. Madam Butar Latuconsina, wife of the Indonesian Ambassador headed the association's delegation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Butar Latuconsina expressed her sincere thanks to the chairperson of the trust Mrs Ghufran Qureshi for inviting the association to visit Siratul Jannah Trust and for the warm welcome accorded to her delegation.
Butar Latuconsina praised the management for the care and protection it is providing to the deprived children. She said that it is our collective responsibility to create a supportive environment for the children in need as they can only survive through the care and support of the society as a whole.
She said that we are here to reflect that we understand the problems of the orphans and to show our support to them at this difficult phase of their life. We can not fully remove the miseries of the life of less fortunate altogether with our limited resources but what is more important is the fact how deeply we think and feel about them, she added.
On the occasion, Madam Butar Latuconsina on behalf of the Association handed over the donation to Ghufran Qureshi. The donation included cash, warm clothes and food items. Butar Latuconsina mentioned that the donation has been arranged from the proceeds of the Charity Bazaar that was organised by the Association of the wives of the Indonesian Embassy Staff on September 29, 2009.-PR
