The Capital Police have been directed to check and maintain the record of private security companies. This direction was issued after a private security agency has been found having illegal cache of weapons, fake arm licenses as well as some other objectionable issues.
All the SHOs have been asked to carry out survey of all private security agencies located in their respective areas and check their licenses, arm licenses as well as record of their officials and submit reports within a week to Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Tahir Alam Khan.
The sources said that the purpose of the exercise was to determine whether there was any fake private security company operating in the city, or any company having fake arm licenses, or possessing more weapons then its capacity.
