An open auction of unserviceable medical equipment was held here at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Saturday. About 11 bidders participated in the auction wherein the highest bid was of Rs 200, 000 by the Saeed & Company, a senior member of the auction committee. The auctioned equipment was 15 to 25 years old and was declared unserviceable by the government workshop.
These items included ventilator, succour machine, cardiac monitor and anaesthesia machine, etc, informed Additional Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Muhammad Asim. At the auctioning, members of auction committee and the media men were also present.
