Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit on Sunday rejected the allegation of Iranian Ambassador that Jundullah chief is present in Pakistan. Iranian Ambassador alleged that Jandullah chief is in Pakistan and operating his network in Iran from here, holding him responsible for the Sunday's deadly attack in Sistan, Iran .
Talking to a private TV channel, Abdul Basit categorically denied the allegations. He condemned the terrorist attack in Sistan, adding that Pakistan and Iran have brotherly relations and both the countries are united to fight the menace of terrorism.
The spokesman added that the recent massive operation launched against the militants in South Waziristan proves the very intention of Pakistan and it wants to root out the menace. He said that the two neighbouring countries are co-operating each others in different fields. The spokesman added that the statement of the Ambassador have no substance as Pakistan has nothing to do with any cross border terrorism. Rather, he said, Pakistan is serious in rooting out terrorism from the region and all means are being used to achieve the objective.
