Indonesian shares ended 0.20 percent higher on Monday as late bargain buying in commodity and auto stocks pushed the market into positive territory, dealers said. The Jakarta Composite Index gained 5.12 points to 2,520.92. "Buying by local institutional funds drove the main index higher despite sporadic profit-taking by foreign funds," a trader told Dow Jones Newswires.
Coal miner Adaro climbed 4.8 percent to 1,530 rupiah, while rival Bukit Asam gained 1.0 percent to 14,850 rupiah. Car distributor Astra International advanced 0.3 percent to 33,000 rupiah.
