Gold prices on Tuesday hit another historic high of Rs 33,550 per tola up from Rs 33,200 because of its soaring prices in the international market which were quoted 1,064.50 dollars an ounce, according to traders. The precious metal''s 10-gram rate also went up to another historic mark of Rs 28,757 up from Rs 28,457 in a single day trading.
President of the All Pakistan Supreme Council Jewellers Association, Haji Haroon Chand, said gold was being sold under cost by Rs 400 per tola as compared to its price in Dubai market. Further, silver was available for Rs 515 per tola up from Rs 510 while its 10-gram price was Rs 441.42 up from Rs 435.14. Silver price on the world market was quoted 17.6 dollars an ounce.
