Senior Vice President PML-N, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that for him the people of his constituency are more important than President Asif Zardari. That's why he regularly paid a visit to his constituency and development projects are being completed under his supervision. He was addressing a big public gathering in Union Council No 1.
Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that PML-N has neither tried consciously or unconsciously to fall the government nor took advantage of the weaknesses of PPP. He said that N-League has made it clear to PPP to respect the wishes of the people by removing 17th Amendment, 58 - 2/B and NRO. He said that PML-N is not playing the role of friendly opposition and also N-League has not shown any kind of flexibility in its attitude. However, it is being tried to put the democracy again on its track.
Hashmi said that USA, India and Israel are afraid of our nuclear programme and this aid is also being given due to this reason. He said that PML-N is not escaping from local government elections but is waiting for the suitable time for elections due to increasing number of terrorist activities on going in the country. He blamed Pervez Musharraf responsible for the current wave of terrorism and said that Musharraf had sold the country for the sake of dollars.
