Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, in the light of the government decision of reversing the clocks by one hour back by November 1, has ordered to observe the following timings at the Principal Seat, LHC Benches and Civil and Sessions Courts in Punjab from November 2.
According to a notification issued here, the Principal seat and benches would work on Monday to Thursday from 08.00 am to 10:30 am (Court sittings), 10:30 am to 11:00 am interval, 11:00 am to 01:30 Court sittings. The benches would work on Friday from 08.00 am to 10:30 (Court sittings), 10:30 am to 11:00 Interval and 11:00 am to 12:30 Court sittings.
On Saturday, there will be no Court sittings unless a Judge decides otherwise and this day is reserved for dictating the judgements. The office hours at the LHC and benches would be as follows: Monday to Thursday and Saturday -08:00 am to 02:30 pm while on Friday the timings would be from 08:00 am to 12:00 Noon.
The Civil and Sessions Court would meet on Monday to Thursday and Saturday as usual while the work timings would be 08:00 am to 03:00 pm with half an hour break from 1.00 pm to 1:30 pm On Friday, the Civil and Session Courts will work from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm In Murree, the courts will work from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Monday to Thursday and Saturday while on Friday, the timing would be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
