The Karachi Port handled 99,355 tonnes of cargo including 50,242 tonnes import and 49,113 tonnes export cargo including 5,079 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 98,427 tonnes dry cargo including 65,999 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 5,906 tonnes DAP; 2,777 tonnes sunflower seeds; 10,500 tonnes clinker; 13,245 tonnes cement and 928 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Sanko Quality, Sima Sahba, Bow Summer, Bolan, Providence, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Bunga Raya Tujuh and Seaways Valour sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Liang Shan, Bunga Raya Tujuh, Seaways Valour, Hyundai Baron and Bavaria Express are currently at the berths. One ship namely Iron Butterfly expected to sail on Thursday, while another three vessels viz Andinet, Hyundai Baron and Kota Layar are expected to sail on Friday.
Two vessels viz New Toyokaze and Conti Express due to arrive on Thursday, while another ten ships namely MT Swat, Kota Halus, Samin-1, TS Malaysia, YM America, Surmene-4, Valbella, Thor Spring, Courier and Nardos are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 77,656 tonnes comprising 59,412 tonnes import and 18,244 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,972 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 19,887 tonnes diesel oil; 7,396 tonnes palm oil; 12,313 tonnes coke; 2,385 tonnes sugar; 3,361 tonnes sunflower seeds; 5,836 tonnes cement and 26,478 tonnes containerised cargo.
Five ships namely MT St Kitts, MT Ander Jacob, CV ACX Salvia, CV CMA CGM Jade and MT Asia Star sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of eight vessels viz CSAV Morumbi, Saudi Diriyah, Al-Montanabbi, MSC Magali, Nostos, Coral, Rose-II and Royal Diamond scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, sugar and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine ships namely CV ACX Salvia, CV CMA CGM Jade, MV Hoang Son Sky, MV Alexu-1, MV July-M, MV Merce Metale, MT Asia Star, MT Al-Salam-II and MV Safe Voyager are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sunflower seeds, sugar, palm oil, diesel oil and coke respectively during last 24 hours. Three container ships namely CSAV Morumbi, Al-Montanabbi and Oocl Kobe are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Thursday.
Edible oil tanker New Toyokaze due to arrive on Thursday, while three more ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, MT Hartati and MT FRS Regina Mar carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil are due to arrive on Friday. Four ships namely Tong List, Glory, Alpha Harmony and Kalliopil with iron ore and coal are also expected to arrive.
