Educational Institutions' security: monitoring cell set up to monitor arrangements

District Monitoring Cell for supervision of security arrangements has been set up in Sialkot district. The cell will supervise arrangements pertaining to security of all private and public educational institutions in the district. The District Co-ordination Officer would be the convener while, DPO Sialkot, EDO Education, District Education Officer Colleges and District Monitoring Officer would be the members of Monitoring Cell.
Meanwhile, district inspection teams visited all private, government schools and colleges in the district to assess the security arrangements as a result of which 36 institutions and one private university had been directed to close the institutions with immediate effects due to the lack of security arrangements and guideline issued by the Punjab government and these institutions will be allowed to reopen after they fulfill all requisite security measures.
