Professor Dr Abid Hasnain of the Department of Food Science and Technology has been elected as the president of the Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS). The annual election of the KUTS was conducted at the campus on Saturday. As many as 513 faculty members of Karachi University exercised their right of votes.
Dr Fayyaz Vaid of the Faculty of Pharmacy was elected as the Secretary. Samina Qureshi of the Department of Mass Communication was elected as the Treasures. For the two posts of joint secretaries, Dr Shoaib Haris of Pharmacy and Moiz Khan of General History were declared elected.
