The entrance test for admissions to the medical colleges in the province was held on Sunday in a smooth manner, an official said. About 11,759 candidates appeared in the entrance test, which were organised simultaneously in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur.
In Karachi, the entrance test was conducted at the Ojha campus of the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) where 3,600 candidates appeared for some 600 seats of the DUHS. The DUHS consists of the Dow Medical College as well as the Sindh Medical College. In Hyderabad the venue of the test was Liaquat University, Jamshoro. The venue of the entrance test in Sukkur was Public Health School and in Larkana, it was Police Training Centre.
Sindh Health Minister, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, visited the venue of the test in Karachi at the Ojha campus of the DUHS and expressed satisfaction at the arrangements made for conducting the entrance test.
