Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) is compiling book "Shaheed Benazir Bhutto: Danishwar Aur Adeeb" (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto: Intellectual and Writer) to highlight literary and intellectual aspects of BB's personality. Chairman PAL, Fakhar Zaman in a briefing informed that the book is written by Khalid Kashmiri and it focuses on Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's literary personality and highlights her intellectual worth.
Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's writings and lectures have been praised by scholars and critics all over the world. In Pakistan's literary history, there are many personalities related to the national politics that got prominence as politician but their literary personality remained unnoticed, Fakhar Zaman said.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed are such personalities who were not only great politicians but they also had a very special place as intellectual and writer in country's literary scenario. Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed along with her status as a great politician is also one of the major writers and poets. Her books "Daughter of the East", "Reconciliation: Islam, Democracy, and the West" and her poem on Marvi "Story of Benazir" are enough to prove her significance.
Fakhar Zaman praised the efforts of the government for supporting writers and intellectual's community. Giving details about PAL's further projects, Fakhar Zaman explained that a new project "Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed Aik Shair-e-Inqelabi" has been initiated to highlight intellectual and literary works and achievements of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed.
