Shifa International declares 12 percent dividend

In its 23rd Annual General Body meeting, CEO, Shifa International, Dr Zaheer Ahmad announced 12 percent dividend as approved by the board of directors. Addressing the meeting, Zaheer Ahmad said that in 2008, Shifa earned 18 percent higher revenue than the last year, even in the current economic and political conditions. In the stock market, Shifa's share remained almost stable, while globally the market was sliding down.
He said that as a teaching hospital, we are producing 100 doctors every year through Shifa College of Medicine, maintaining high professional standards and the same is the case with Shifa College of Nursing. Presently, the CEO elaborated, in eight specialties for FCPS, Shifa is also giving training. Shifa is expanding by increasing number of inpatient beds, introducing new state of the art machinery.-PR
