Two Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) with the Kyrgystan and Uzbekistan Chambers to strengthen mutual trade relations, former president of RCCI Syed Asad Haider Mashadi said on Tuesday.
He said this while talking to businessmen after returning back from his visit to the Central Asian States. Mashadi who led the RCCI delegation, said that this visit will promote the trade relations with mentioned above States. "During the visit the RCCI delegation met the trade Ministers of these States", he added.
Referring to the trade accords he said that Pakistani exporters will be provided utmost facilities to exports their products to these States. He further said that the trade ministers were also assured their full support to introduce Pakistani products in their countries on large scale.
Mashadi termed this tour a great success and said that positive results will come out very soon in this regard. He said that time has come to launch new products in the international market and it is need of the hour to find new markets.
He thanked Pakistani ambassadors Waheedul Hassan (Tashkand), Irfanur Rehman (Kyrghystan) and Tanvir Ahmad Khushkhali (Uzbikistan) for their special arrangements made for the delegation. He urged the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to conduct single country expos for Pakistani products and provide better and up to date transportation facilities to food and vegetables exporters.
He also demanded TDAP to set up display centres for local products in foreign countries. Delegation included Vice President Khwaja Abdur Rashid Waien, Raja Aamir Iqbal, Chudhary Imtaiz, Colonel (Retd) Zafar Jamal, Abdul Qadus, Asif Zafar Chaudhary and Sanaullah. -PR
