The Karachi Port handled 104,395 tonnes of cargo including 76,469 tonnes import and 27,926 tonnes export cargo including 1,728 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 67,403 tonnes dry cargo including 26,428 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 4,783 tonnes DAP; 6,821 tonnes sunflower seeds; 325 tonnes sulpher; 16,900 tonnes clinker; 3,029 tonnes cement and 36,992 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely APL Brisbane, YM Antarctic, Kota Hakim, Daffodil, Hadrian and Al-Marwah sailed out to sea during the report period. Three vessels viz Sima Sahba, Pacific Rich and Bunga Raya Tiga are currently at the berths. Three ships namely MT Johar, Golden Arrow-II and Bunga Raya Tiga expected to sail on Wednesday, while another vessel viz Bunga Raya Lapan is expected to sail on Thursday.
Five vessels viz Bunga Raya Tiga, YM Hanjin, Saigon Express, Atlanta and Aann due to arrive on Wednesday, while another two ships namely Hyundai Emperor and Merky Wisdom are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 81,772 tonnes comprising 62,916 tonnes import and 18,856 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,498 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 33,706 tonnes diesel oil; 2,500 tonnes palm oil; 9,450 tonnes chemicals; 3,203 tonnes sugar; 12,124 tonnes cement and 20,787 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships: container ship Nedlloyed America and oil tanker FR-8 Regina Mar sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while a chemical carrier Antarctic is expected to sail on the same day. A total of eight vessels viz Sichem Marseille, Chariotte Kosan, Mare Phoenicium, ACX Pearl, Gemini, Samho Jasper, Al-Soor-II, Leopard-B and Marcampania scheduled to load/offload chemicals, containers, palm oil, diesel oil and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight ships namely CV Nedlloyed America, MV Royal Diamond, MV Alexi-I, MV Rose-II, MV Coral, MT FR-8 Regina Mar, MT SC Xiamen and MT Antarctic are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil, diesel oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CV ACX Pearl, CV Mare Phoenicium, MT Glory and MT Chariotte Kosan carrying containers, iron ore and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Iron Ore & Coal Berth and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Jamaica, MV Angela and MT Genie are due to arrive on Wednesday, while two more container ships namely NYK Kai and Al-Noof are due to arrive on Thursday. Seven ships namely Maersk Novazzano, SC Eiemen, BBC Thames, Tong List, Glory, Alpha Harmony, Kalliopil and Surreal with containers, palm oil, general cargo, iron ore, coal and cement are also expected to arrive.
