The UN commission probing the assassination of Benazir Bhutto has written a letter to Pakistani government seeking security measures and access to record a statement of former President Musharraf. Sources said the commission chief has also sought foolproof security arrangements for the team during their next visit to Pakistan at a time when the country is facing bad law and order situation.
In the letter, the commission chief termed the statement of former President Musharraf about the BB assassination as very important. It is also learnt that in the letter the team has also showed its interest to have access to the senior officials like ISI Chief and other senior military and civilian officials for getting further information in this regard. The Foreign Office sources without giving details confirmed that it has received a letter from the UN commission. The Foreign Office spokesman could not be reached for comments.
