A three-member team of the Pakistan Engineering Council on Friday visited various sections of the National Textile University to assess the university's working and grant accreditation to the NTU for 2005, 2006 and 2007.
The team, comprising Additional Registrar of the PEC, Islamabad, Nasir Mehmood Khan; Engineer Raj Kumar Khiyani of Mehran University, Eng.Dr Sheikh Abdur Rehman of PTC Karachi, checked the educational Level of different faculties and laboratories of the university where technical education and training is imparted to the students.
NTU Rector Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Akhtar and Registrar Professor Jawaid Iqbal briefed the PEC team about the teaching and training, being imparted to the students in textile engineering. Other faculty members present there were Incharge (Academic) Dr Tanvir Hussain; Chairman of Garment Technology Zafar Jawaid; and Incharge of Apparal Designs Elza Amirova.
