The "Jammu Martyrs Day" was observed throughout Sialkot and Narowal districts by the refugees from occupied Jammu and Kashmir settled in both the districts, here on Friday. The programmes started with special prayers for the solidarity, unity and prosperity of the country as well as for early liberation of the occupied valley. On this occasion special prayers and Quran Khawani were offered for the martyrs.
It may be recalled that Hindus and Sikhs militants killed a large number of men, women, children, and girls when they were on their way to newly created Pakistan in 1947 after the partition of the Sub Continent. Addressing the meetings, leaders of Muslim Conference Sheik Muhammad Saleem, Hafiz Muhammad Raza and others urged all the peace-loving nations and United Nations to take immediate steps for stopping India from killing innocent Kashmiris in the held valley. They condemned the brutalities of Indian forces in Kashmir.
