Involvement in illegal activities: license of private security company cancelled

Home department of Sindh government on Friday cancelled the license of a private security company due to its involvement in illegal activities and non-renewal of its license, officials said. They said that the private security firm namely Freedom Security Firm had not renewed its license since for the last eight years, adding that dozens of show cause notices were issued to it but no explanation was received so far.
Another major reason of cancellation of the license is stated to be involvement of the firm in illegal activities in the city and possessing prohibited bore weapons, besides illegal use of militia uniform, they added. Recently, sources said at least 37 security guards of company were apprehended with illegal and prohibited bore weapons by Landhi police. The guards were going to occupy a factory near Dawood Chowrangi.
