National T20 Cup may postpone again
LAHORE: Following the successful World XI tour of Pakistan for the revival of international cricket, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is facing new challenges regarding National T20 cup.
The domestic tournament, which was postponed due to the Independence Series, may face further delay due to expected tour of West Indies in November.
The T20 Cup was initially scheduled to be played in two parts from August 25 to 31 in Multan, and from September 4 to 10 in Faisalabad.
The players, who were busy in playing international leagues, were directed to report back to PCB for the domestic tournament, however it was postponed till November.
The T20 cup could once again be delayed as West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) President Dave Cameron has given a hint of allowing his team to tour Pakistan for three T20Is after visiting Pakistan during the Independence Cup. These matches are likely to be held in November.
Let it be known that Pakistan are to play Sri Lanka from September 28 to October 29 in a full-fledged series consisting two Tests, five one-day internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 internationals (T20Is).
