The Karachi Port handled 87,703 tonnes of cargo including 42,239 tonnes import and 45,464 tonnes export cargo including 2,581 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 71,625 tonnes dry cargo including 37,441 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 8,396 tonnes DAP; 4,441 tonnes sunflower seeds; 10,317 tonnes cement and 16,078 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Stara Planina, Khaleed-H, Monique, Hyundai Emperor, Christina and YM Tianjin sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Kota Hapas, Clipper Mistral, Kriton, Aann and Golden Arrow-1 are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Multan, Ferdos-1, Haina Wealth and Harmony expected to sail on Saturday, while another two vessels viz Millennium Explorer and Clipper Mistral expected to sail on Sunday.
One ship namely Surmene-4 is expected to sail on Monday. Six vessels viz Samho Jasper, Golden Brilliance, Azuma Phoenix, Atlantic Dream, Oriental Crown and New Navigation due to arrive on Saturday, while another six ships namely Anitra, MOL Bravery, Samin-1, Balgarka, Toumeh and Lucky Carrier are due to arrive on Sunday. Eight ships namely MT Swat, Arctic Bridge, Lucky-7, Gulf Tiger, Bunga Raya Empat, Hansa Liberty and Ninos and APL Dalian are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 69,399 tonnes comprising 53,242 tonnes import and 16,157 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,927 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 20,977 tonnes diesel oil; 2,497 tonnes palm oil; 10,844 tonnes iron ore; 3,159 tonnes sugar; 5,717 tonnes cement and 26,205 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely MV Royal Diamond, MV Sichem Marseille, MV Samho Jasper and MT Al-Soor-II sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano and MV Rose-II are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
A total of five vessels viz MSC Jeanne, Gemini, SC Shang Hai, Surreal and Angelia scheduled to load/offload containers, palm oil and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. Eight ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Rose-II, MV Marcam Pania, MV Leopard-B, MV Coral, MT Samho Jasper, MT Al-Soor-II and MT Glory are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Container ship MSC Jeanne and edible oil vessel Gemini are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Saturday. Two vessels viz MV Multan and MV BBC Thames scheduled to load/offload cement and general cargo are due to arrive on Saturday, while three more ships namely CV Cape Martin, MT Al-Salam-II and MV Sunrise are due to arrive on Sunday. Eight ships namely CMA CGM Jamaica, Maersk Montana, Nedlloyed Asia, AXC Jasmine, SC Elemen, Tong List, Alpha Harmony and Kalliopil with containers, palm oil, iron ore and coal are also expected to arrive.
