Custodian of Eidgah Shrine Rawalpindi Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman on Sunday underlined the need of greater unity among Muslims and people of Pakistan to foil conspiracies being hatched against Islam and Pakistan.
"It is need of the hour that the Muslims in general and Pakistani people in particular forge unity in their ranks to foil the nefarious designs of the enemies of Islam and Pakistan," he said while speaking at Dars-e-Quran congregation at Soldier Bazaar in Karachi.
According to a message received here from the port city of Karachi, thousands of people from the city as well as interior parts of Sindh attended the congregation.
He said Muslims must follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) to frustrate the unholy conspiracies of the enemies of Islam. "By promoting unity, brotherhood and harmony among ourselves, we can make Pakistan a hub of peace and tranquility," Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman added. The custodian of Eidgah Shrine said everybody wants others to reform themselves but nobody pays attention to his own reformation.
"If the Muslims follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) in letter and spirit, no power on earth would be able to hatch conspiracies and harm them," he added.
Sahibzada Muhammad Hassan Hasib-ur-Rehman, Haji Hanif Tayyab, Brigadier Muhammad Shabbir (Retd), Qari Salim Shahzad and Maulana Muhammad Salim Habib were prominent among the speakers from all schools of thought who addressed the congregation.
Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman prayed for the unity among Muslims, progress, prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan and liberation of Kashmir and Palestine.
