'Mortality during delivery highest in Balochistan'

The mother-child mortality ratio during delivery is highest in Balochistan as compared to other provinces. This was stated by Minister for Prosecution Rahila Durrani while addressing a ceremony, held in connection with mother- child health.
The minister stressed that there was need of more health initiatives to reduce the mortality rate in the province. She observed that education of mothers were guarantee of progress and prosperity in the society. She hailed the role of UNICEF and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for taking practical steps to health of mothers and children.
