Pakistan Muslim League-N Central Leader and former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal has termed President Asif Ali Zardari as an obstacle in way of political and economical stability in the country saying that there is no possibility of improvement in the situation without bringing positive change in the present system.
The PML-N leader said, here on Monday that for bringing political stability and peace in the country, pro-dictatorship clauses in the constitution, besides the decayed old system would have to be changed. He said any persistence by the 'Aiwan-e-Sadr' could derail the newly established democracy, adding that the non-serious attitude of President Asif Ali Zardari was an obstacle in way of political and economical stability in the country. "If the democratic system continues to exist successfully in the country despite relieving of two persons then there was no loss in it," he argued.
Jaffar Iqbal said that PML-N was not against any person or party and we were least interested in minus one, two and three formula. He said that if one having extraordinary powers could not deliver anything to country and nation, he should quit power. He said that the people were not ready to believe on promises of the President Asif Ali Zardari and at present they needed sympathetic and genius national leadership, which have the capability of combating internal as well as external challenges facing to the country.
He said the PPP should sincerely try to abolish the disputed clauses of the constitution including the 17th amendment, which would help promote the national reconciliation. He said that the unsuccessful foreign policy of PPP-led government isolated Pakistan in the world. He said that a country where the corruption is rampant and power crisis exists; no foreign investor would dare to come for investment.
