Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) has paid glowing tributes to Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal in a special session held at the Bakhtiar Labour Hall on Monday. The leadership of the Federation said Iqbal awakened the labourers through his poetry and prepared the Muslims of the Subcontinent for a separate homeland.
He also advocated the two nation theory strongly, paving the way for an independent state for the Muslims. The Federation leadership further stressed the nation to follow the teachings of Iqbal in order to put Pakistan on high development pace in the comity of the nations. A good number of labour leaders, including central general secretary Khurshid Ahmed, spoke on the occasion.
