The Karachi Port handled 120,463 tonnes of cargo including 98,129 tonnes import and 22,334 tonnes export cargo including 2,662 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 72,971 tonnes dry cargo including 37,315 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 8,861 tonnes DAP; 3,526 tonnes sunflower seeds; 1,992 tonnes sugar; 4,875 tonnes cement and 47,492 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Hellespot, Nord Mariner, Hammurabi, Lucky Carrier and Samin-1 sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Sima Sahba, Balgarka, Fortune Victoria, Mercy Wisdom, Olympic Carrier and Anitra are currently at the berths. Four ships namely AG Ekaterini, MT Swat, Vinalines Ocean and Kota Handal expected to sail on Wednesday, while another two vessels viz Fortune Victoria and Olympic Carrier are expected to sail on Thursday.
Seven vessels viz Gulf Tiger, Lucky-7, Bunga Raya Sambilan, Seaways Valour, Alexandria Bridge, Cap George and Abby-G due to arrive on Wednesday, while another seven ships namely Battery Park, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, TS Jakarta, Abtin-1, MSC Aurelie, Brother Glory and Deren Pioneer are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 51,484 tonnes comprising 33,473 tonnes import and 18,011 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,538 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 60 tonnes diesel oil; 5,200 tonnes palm oil; 1,298 tonnes project cargo; 4,812 tonnes iron ore; 1,532 tonnes sugar; 7,416 tonnes phosphoric acid; 10,079 tonnes cement and 21,087 tonnes containerised cargo. Five ships namely MT Fortune Victoria, CV Nedlloyed Europa, MT SC Shang Hai, MT Ginga Cougar and MT Glory sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MV BBC Thames is expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of twelven vessels viz CMA CGM Quartz, Norasia Balkan, ACX Jasmine, Sound Proodos, Al-Salam-II, Argent Cosmos, SC Beihai, BMC Genests, Sunrise 89, Multan, Surreal and Angelia scheduled to load/offload containers, rapeseeds, deiesel oil, palm oil, chemicals, rice and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight ships namely CV Nedlloyed Europa, MV Marcam Pania, MV Leopard-B, MV Coral, MV BBC Thames, MT SC Shang Hai, MT Ginga Cougar and MT Glory are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, project cargo, palm oil, phosphoric acid and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely CV ACX Jasmine, CV CMA CGM Quartz, CV Norasia Balkan, MV Multan, MT Al-Salam-II and MT SC Beihai scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Marginal Wharf-1, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Two container vessels viz Al-Sabahia and New Delhi Express are due to arrive on Thursday, while two more container ships namely Maersk Novazzano and MSC Sarawak are due to arrive on Friday. Four ships namely SC Elemen, Tong List, Alpha Harmony and Kalliopil with palm oil, iron ore and coal are also expected to arrive.
